Tina and Dusty…so lovely
January 28th, 2010
Tina and I met freshman year of college. My bff, Allison, was at Clemson and I was at North Greenville College, which is now a university (crazy) and Tina was her roommate. I instantly liked Tina the moment I laid eyes on her. We had so much stinkin fun together freshman year. I spent all my time at Clemson since North Greenville was such a suitcase college and I wasn’t about to drive home to Columbia every weekend. Anyway, you get the picture. So after all these years we’ve remained close and I’m so happy to be apart of this new beginning in Tina’s life.
Some of you may recognize Tina as my assistant and second shooter in several weddings this past year. The girl has a great “eye” and I took full advantage of it. Wouldn’t you? I hope she’ll be joining me again this year for some Saturday adventures.
So I bet you’re wondering about this shoot…well it’s an “after wedding shoot”. Tina and Dusty actually tied the knot in a destination wedding last December, but some unfortunate circumstances occured that left them with not quite the memories they had hoped for. She can tell the story way better than me. That being said, I did this shoot for them. Honestly, I can totally relate. On my honeymoon to Costa Rica, my carry-on bag was stolen at the airport right after we landed. It was horrible, but that is a whole other post for another day.
Tina and Dusty, I had the most wonderful time with you guys. I look forward to many happy years ahead watching your love for each other continue to grow. much love, Liv
If you’re interested in an “after wedding shoot”, let me know. They are super fun and relaxing. Cheers!

Thank You!!

This post is so long overdue, but I wanted to make sure I did a special “thank you” post to all my 2009 couples. You guys rock and have made having a baby in this biz very easy on me. Every time I look at her sweet little face I am grateful to be able to work from home and care for her. Matt and I were totally ready to do whatever it took for me to stay home once we had children. We knew the risks when I left BOA to do photography fulltime that it would be scary and that we may even loose our house over it, but we agreed that living in a sweet little apartment and for me to be able to stay home with children was what we both wanted more. In the end, obviously God worked everything out for us and gave me the clients I needed to make our dreams come true. Not a day goes by that I take what I do for granted. I am truly thankful and humbled. So to all my couples of 2009, YOU have made all this possible for my family. Much love, Olivia

3 months!

I can hardly believe my Miss Amelia is already three months old. She is just such a little peach and I adore every inch of her pudgy skin. kiss kiss. Now that she’s so interactive and playful, things are getting very interesting in the Griffin household. Matt plays the guitar for her and we sing our favorite U2 songs, Norah Jones, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and any hymn we think of. I keep a hymn book close by for such occasions. She is mesmerized by it. It’s just such and sweet and wonderful time with her. We are so grateful to be parents and to have a healthy and happy baby.
I shot these in our bedroom. The light is so yummy. She was in a funny mood, not particularly “smiley”, but interested in all my movements.
