Luke’s Debut

May 27th, 2009

I would like you all to meet Luke.  Isn’t he just the most adorable little bundle you’ve ever seen?  I love him already. :)  Luke’s lovely parents are dear friends on mine.  I actually used to work with Derek at Bank of America and then two years ago Matt and I moved into the same neighborhood as them so now we’re neighbors.  Too cool.

Luke was a good boy for the whole shoot and his parents just look fantastic.  Can you believe Emily just had him?!  I hope I look this good after having my little one.  She was just glowing and she was able to put on makeup and fix her hair, which I know is an accomplishment for any new mother.  I was so impressed and made a mental note that I would really try hard to do the same.

Also, I just adore the nursery and it gets me super excited about my own nursery, but that is a whole other post to say the least.  Now, enjoy some images of this sweet little family. :)

Teresa and Brian’s bundle on the Way.

May 26th, 2009

Teresa is a dear sweet friend of mine from my days at Bank of America, which seem so long ago.  Bank of America hired me right out of college and I worked there from March of 2003 to March of 2008.  In fact, the day I left I recieved my 5 year plaque.  It was too ironic.  I love what I do now and wouldn’t change it for the world, but I do miss my wonderful co-workers everyday.  I do keep in touch with many of them and so when Teresa contacted me about doing her maternity session I was more than happy to do it. :)

Teresa has since had baby Vinh and she and Brian are adjusting and enjoying being new parents.  I got to hold him when I took Teresa her DVD and let me say it was such a sweet moment.  I actually cried because it made me think about how wonderful it will be to hold my own little sweet baby come this October.  Such sweet times.

Thank you Teresa and Brian for letting me share in this special time with you.  I know you will be wonderful parents and I wsih you the best. Olivia

Kelly and Sishir 4.10.09

May 21st, 2009

She calls him “Sish” and I absolutely adore that. :)  Kelly probably doesn’t realize I picked up on it, but my husband calls me Ollie so I love fun nicknames for loved ones and especially when it’s not “honey” or “baby”.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the “honeys” and babies”, but there is something sweet about little nicknames.

The truth be told I actually didn’t meet Kelly and Sishir until the day before their wedding.  We’ve had countless emails and a conference call so I gotta admit that I was a little nervous because I’m so used to bonding with my brides before the wedding.  Well the whole experience met and exceeded my expectations.  These two were amazing and so sweet.  They even gave me a gift for the baby.  It was a onesie that had “Steelers” on it.  Very fitting since they are from Pittsburgh.  You see, this wedding was at the William Akien House  in Charleston and Kelly and Sishir had a destination wedding. To my surprise they had lots of family and friends travel the distance for their special day, which again confirmed to me how great this couple was together.  Everyone was so caring and attentive to my pregnant status and that of course made me relax and take great images for them.  So without further adieu here are some rockin shots from their day.  Thanks Kelly and Sishir! :)

My favorite shot of the day.  I love the hair over her eyes and the relaxed look on her face.

You just can’t beat a bird cage veil.  I’m a huge fan and Kelly pulls it off with classic style.
